First trade conference exhibition for IFS in North America
Berlin, Germany/St. Louis, USA – January 7, 2010 - IFS Food, the food safety standard from International Featured Standards (IFS) recognized and accepted under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) will exhibit for the first time in North America at the Global Food Safety Conference hosted by the Consumer Goods Forum in Washington D.C., February 3-5, 2010.
"Exhibiting at the GFSI Conference in February is a big step for IFS," said Stephan Tromp, Managing Director of IFS. "At the Conference we will make a major announcement concerning our objectives for the North American market. These objectives integrate with our current global strategy of providing food producers a quality certification for food safety, and confidence for their retail partners."
IFS will have an exhibit booth at the GFSI Conference at which existing and prospective customers can learn more about IFS and how it would be a good fit for their facilities, both domestically and globally. Customers can visit the IFS at Booth 21 during the Conference.

The latest IRI research, "Baby Boomers II: Preparing for the Upcoming Wave of Aging Shopper Growth," reveals that store brand spending increases with age. The study examines baby boomer lifestyle changes and identifies top-indexing food and non-food categories, recession-driven shopping patterns and key opportunities for private label and health and wellness products.
