In partnership with Walt Disney Company, Carrefour launched a new store brand food line for children with a strong commitment to nutrition that includes approximately 50 products
Called Carrefour Kids, the line features Disney characters and includes cereal, pasta, stewed fruit, cream cheese, tarts and yogurt and will gradually expand over the next few months, according to company statements. Available in France, Belgium, Spain and Italy, the products are portion controlled and limit sugar, salt and fat content.
The collaboration is the latest in a well-established partnership between Carrefour and Disney, who already have jointly developed more than 280 products so far in the toys, publishing, textiles and stationery categories, according to media reports.
“Disney is in a unique position to offer food that combines fun and nutritional benefits that will appeal to both kids and their parents,” says Jean Francois Camilleri, general manager of The Walt Disney Company, France.
