Chris Silva Promoted to President, Morningstar Division of Dean Foods

Dean Foods , a leading dairy company in the United States and a global leader in soy products, today announced the promotion of Chris Sliva, 46, to the new position of President, Morningstar effective immediately. Sliva is currently Chief Operating Officer of the Morningstar Division of Dean Foods. In this new role, Sliva will oversee the Morningstar division's entire private label, extended shelf life and cultured businesses.
"This well-deserved promotion recognizes Chris' leadership of the Morningstar business over the last two years," said Joe Scalzo, Chief Operating Officer, Dean Foods. "Chris and his Senior Leadership Team have designed and are implementing a business transformation to drive greater growth in this critical Dean Foods business."
Sliva joined Dean Foods at WhiteWave in 2006 as Senior Vice President of Sales and Chief Customer Officer. In 2008, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, Morningstar. He previously served as Vice President and General Manager of Americas Output for Eastman Kodak Corporation, where he also served as Vice President, Retail Sales and Vice President, U.S. Sales. Prior experience includes marketing and sales roles at Fort James Corporation and Procter & Gamble.
