PLMA International Show Opens in Amsterdam

More than 1,800 store brand manufacturers and suppliers from 65 countries will show their wares at the PLMA World of Private Label show opening today in the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam.
The two-day show features 39 national and regional pavilions, including new ones from Singapore, Hungary, Pakistan, Belgium, a PLMA Ingredients Pavilion, and more than 3,500 exhibitions, according to European Supermarket Magazine (ESM).
“At the last PLMA ‘World of Private Label,’ in May 2009, ESM spotted leading retailers and suppliers from not only Europe, but Israel, Canada and Australia, demonstrating the growth of private label around the world. This year, you can expect to find importers and exporters from 90 countries,” according to ESM.
The show also includes Idea Supermarket, featuring exemplary store brands from 60 retailers across Europe, the U.S., Latin America, Africa and Asia. PLMA’s also features its New Product Expo, which showcase the latest innovations in store brands.
Trade show floor categories featured include foods such as beverages, fruits and vegetables, snacks, meat and poultry, as well as candy, prepared foods and bakery, to non-foods such as health and beauty care, household products, paper and plastic products, housewares, pet products and auto care.
