Stew Leonard’s introduced store brand Organic Whole Milk, Organic 1% Lowfat Milk and Organic Fat Free Milk produced by family-owned Clover Farms Dairy.
All certified USDA organic, the new product line will be sold for an introductory price of $2.99 for half-gallons, which is about $1 more expensive than the grocer’s regular milk.
Stew Leonard Jr., CEO said the company has always sold local milk “free from synthetic hormones ….at the lowest price possible.” The organic line is a logical product extension.
