United Supermarkets Expands Store Brand Wines

This past weekend United Supermarkets expanded its store brand wine offering with the addition of three new Market Street wines, including sangria and two table wines.

The wines, marketed under the Vineyards of Market Street label, will be sold in the 42 stores that currently sell wines and beer. The new labels, retailing for $6.99 a bottle, include Patio Sangria, in stores now, as well as Farm to Market Red and Farm to Market White, schedule to arrive on store shelves in a few weeks.

Lubbock, Texas-based United Supermarkets is collaborating with McPherson Cellars Winery and winemaker Kim McPherson.

Family-owned, United Supermarkets operate 50 stores under the United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos United banners.
