Wakefern Food Corp.’s ShopRite banner launched its brand new Potluck blog, which features a wide variety of recipes using the grocer’s store brands products as ingredients.

ShopRite's Potluck blog logoThe Keasbey, N.J. –based grocer recruited about a dozen bloggers with one common interest – love of food, the company wrote on the blog. “These bloggers are chomping at the bit to share their thoughts, recipes, giveaways and reviews on ShopRite’s private label brand products,” the company said on its web site.

“Each month, Potluck panelists will provide their honest opinions on ShopRite’s private-label products and will put these products to the test, include them in original recipes from time to time and tell you all about it,” ShopRite stated in promotional materials.

The Potluck panel includes at-home cooks and a few food celebrities including Deborah Smith, author of jerseybites.com, a website dedicated to food news and restaurant reviews in New Jersey; and Anne Coleman, founder of cookingwithanne.blogspot.com, who specializes in budget recipes.

The Potluck blog, with the tagline “Everyone Brings Something to the Table,” also includes Facebook and Twitter posts with video cooking demonstrations and other Potluck events coming soon.
