A&P Names New Store Brands Executive

Just days after announcing the closure of 32 stores in six states as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan, A&P named six new executives, all hired externally, to lead its merchandising and marketing teams.
Kevin Broe, was named vice president of own brands. Prior to joining A&P, Broe was vice president of sales and merchandising of store brands at Supervalu and he held management positions at American Company Stores, Bruno's, PetSmart, Cub Foods and Factory Card Outlet.
Other executive appointments included Marie Robinson, a former Smart & Final executive, who was named senior vice president of supply and logistics; Nancy Gaddy, formerly with Winn-Dixie, was named vice president deli and bakery; Harry Giglio, formerly of Weis Markets, was appointed vice president meat and seafood; Bob Weidner, formerly of Jewel Food Stores, to vice president customer experience and space management; and Corey Pearson, formerly with Supervalu, was named vice president of pricing and analytics.
