Next month, Cincinnati-based Kroger Co. is adding a premium brew to its already impressive roster of private label beers.
The new Port Republic brand will be offered in lager and light varieties, and will retail for $21.99 for a 30-can case, according to a Supermarket News report. Single cans will reportedly retail for $1.49.
The Winery Exchange based in Novato, Calif., is manufacturing the beer for Kroger. Other private label beer brands Kroger carries include Latin-styled beer Caguama, Dutch beer Hollande 1620, and craft beer Tap Room 21 offered in five varieties.
