Walmart is recalling Great Value Reduced Sodium Chicken Noodle Soup due to a possible labeling error, while Safeway is recalling a variety of Signature Café and deli salads with tomatoes possibly tainted with Salmonella.

Great Value soupWalmart is recalling 188,181 pounds of its Great Value Reduced Sodium Chicken Noodle Soup, manufactured by Bay Valley Foods, due to the presence of milk, a known allergen that is not disclosed on the label. The label indicates that the can contains Chicken Noodle soup when in fact it may contain Cream of Chicken soup, according to a statement by Bay Valley Food. The recalled cans of soups are distributed through Walmart stores in 30 states.

Safeway Signature Cafe logoSafeway is voluntarily recalling five Signature Café salads and two salads sold at deli counters that were made by Taylor Farms. Grape tomatoes in the salads -- sourced from grower Six L's – are being recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination. The salads are sold at Safeway, Vons, Pavilions and Pak N Save stores in multiple states.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with either product recall.
