Nash Finch has engaged Vertis Communications to manage packaging production for its three private label brands -- Nash Brothers Trading, Our Family and Value Choice.
Under a four-year agreement, Vertis will provide the nation's second largest publicly traded wholesale food distributor with premedia services, including proofing and workflow automation technologies.
Vertis' packaging experts along with dedicated on-site personnel will ensure that each brand's unique promise and identity are reflected accurately and consistently across packaging substrates and printing suppliers.
"We understand the strategies Nash Finch has developed for its three distinct private label brands and we are committed to protecting the equity those brands have built over the course of time," said John Colarossi, senior vice president at Vertis. "Our experience managing packaging production for some of the most recognized brands in the grocery retail industry positions us well to serve as a long term partner for Nash Finch."
Minneapolis-based Nash Finch posts annual sales of approximately $5 billion through distribution contracts with supermarkets, military commissaries, multicultural stores and extreme value stores in 36 states, the District of Columbia, Europe, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Azores and Egypt.
