Loblaw Drives Store Brands Adoption with Holiday Insiders Report

Canadian grocer Loblaw has released the President’s Choice Holiday Insiders Report for 2011 filled with product descriptions and holiday entertaining ideas.
The report launched in stores and online November 2 and is packed with more than 80 new President’s Choice products, plus recipes and tips. Among the new products highlighted are appetizers Crispy Lollipop Shrimp, Creamy Havarti Shrimp Puffs, Cured Atlantic Salmon Selection and Fire-Roasted Sweet Italian Fully Cooked Mini Pork Sausages; single serve and family meals including Pulled Beef Shepherd’s Pie with Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Dine-In Tonight, Lobster Mac & 5 Cheese; organic items such as PC Organics Toddler And Junior Entrée and PC Organics Mini Cereal Bars.
Highlights include Presidents Choice Black Label and Blue Label items, videos about such things as how to put together a great cheese platter, how to use puff pastries and serve the perfect cup of coffee, all with President’s Choice products.
The brand is using in-house experts to provide much of the content and will be featured on the website, including videos. President Choice featured experts include Tom Filippou, executive chef, President's Choice Cooking Schools, of which there are 200 locations in Canada; Chef Dana Speers, executive chef, President's Choice Test Kitchen and Gemini award winner; Tina Stewart, registered dietician, President's Choice product development team; Peter Cantley, vice president, floral and garden, Loblaw Cos. Ltd.; Laura Sliapnic, President's Choice product developer; Anne Marie Armstrong, registered dietician, President's Choice; Chef Martin Desparois-Patenaude, chef, President's Choice Cooking Schools; and Murray Bancroft, chef and food stylist, chef and culinary director at Western Living Magazine.
The experts share tips on a host of topics such as juggling entertaining with tight schedules, making President’s Choice prepared foods a shopper’s own, plating suggestions, desserts, gifts and how to include healthy options in holiday menus.
