It may be November, but Lakeland, Fla.-based Publix has unveiled three limited edition warm weather products in decidedly fall flavors, and added a new deli item under its store brand.
Two Limited Edition Publix Premium Ice Cream are now available in Apple and Pumpkin Pie flavors in time for Thanksgiving. According to the company’s website,
Publix Premium Apple Pie Ice Cream, combines apple ice cream, apple chunks, and sugar-rolled piecrust. Publix Premium Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream makes its seasonal return and consists of pumpkin pie ice cream, buttery crust pieces and whipped cream.
The grocer also introduced Premium Denali Mint Moose Tracks Ice Cream -- mint ice cream, mint cups, and Moose Tracks fudge.
Under the Publix Deli label, the grocer introduced a Cuban-inspired favorite -- Publix Deli Slow-Roasted Mojo Pork. “We start by marinating a Boston butt roast for 24 hours, then slow-roast it over low heat for full flavor and extreme tenderness,” according to the website description. “Try it on a sandwich: Publix Bakery Cuban bread topped with slow-roasted mojo pork, sliced onions, green peppers, and au jus mojo marinade. For dinner, we serve melt-in-your-mouth mojo pork with black beans, white or yellow rice, and a slice of Publix Bakery Cuban bread. You can even buy it by the pound to add to your own meals and recipes.”
