GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition and Store Brands Decisions are collaborating and hosting an exclusive three-hour educational seminar to provide store brands retailers and suppliers with insights and best practices for the adoption of sustainable packaging.
The sustainable packaging seminar will take place Wednesday afternoon Feb. 29, 2012, immediately preceding the Store Brands Decisions Innovation & Marketing Summit (March 1-2) at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Hotel in Chicago. Seminar attendees will receive a certificate of completion co-signed by the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and Store Brands Decisions.
“Based on attendee evaluation from our Innovation & Marketing Summit in July, we feel the time is right to develop the first focused seminar for the store brands market on sustainable packaging,” said John Failla, founder, publisher and editorial director of Store Brands Decisions. “We’re very pleased to partner with GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition given their leadership and expertise on the subject."
The semina
r, titled “Sustainability for Store Brands Packaging” will offer a comprehensive introduction of sustainability considerations that apply to the entire store brands packaging lifecycle, including material sourcing, packaging design, manufacturing, transport and final disposal. Using real world examples, attendees will receive a holistic view of how sustainability applies to store brands.
In addition, participants will learn about sustainability and balancing trade offs, sourcing and recovering materials, environmental and health impacts, tools for measuring and reporting sustainability and how to communicate sustainability initiatives.
“Attendees to the Innovation & Marketing Summit on March 1-2, now have the unique opportunity to enhance the value of their experience by attending this special seminar the day before the Summit,” Failla said.
GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition has presented seminars attended by hundreds of professionals in North America, Latin America and Asia.
Registration is required for “Sustainability for Store Brands Packaging” with a special registration package offered for attendees of the Store Brands Decisions Innovation & Marketing Summit.
