Fairway Market has just nine stores but now shoppers everywhere can buy the retailer’s store brands online.
The nearly 80-year-old retailer is known for specialty, organic and old-world European offerings featuring a selection of coffee, olive oils, pasta, vinegar sauces and other specialty foods on its new web site. In all, nearly 400 private label products are available including Fairway exclusive imported barrel olive oils, Fairway Premises-Roasted Coffee in four grind options, honey, jam, maple syrup, spices, vinegar, pasta sauces, antipasti and BBQ sauce. The site also features gift baskets of Fairway exclusive products and store brands, and gift cards.
"We are always being asked about selling our products online so former New Yorkers as well as others across the country who know of us can enjoy their favorite olive oils, sauces, jams, coffee and so many other foods that are exclusive to Fairway," said Howie Glickberg, CEO of Fairway and grandson of the founder. "We are thrilled that our e-commerce program will make it possible for everyone to enjoy the best of the best that has helped make Fairway so unique."
