Texas-based H-E-B launched its “Compare Our Prices to Anyone” campaign, lowered prices on store brands and is intensifying its focus on health and beauty.

On Jan. 18, the grocer lowered prices on numerous H-E-B brand and national brand products throughout the store on products families use most. Paired with coupons, weekly ad specials, Meal Deals, Combo Locos and My H-E-B Rx Rewards, the campaign promises to make basic items and H-E-B store brands more affordable.

Making their food dollar stretch is a top priority,” said Craig Boyan, president of H-E-B. ““Our commitment to Every Day Low Prices is something H-E-B customers have always been able to count on, but in 2012 they will also see renewed energy around making healthy eating more affordable.”

Through the campaign, H-E-B will introduce a variety of savings opportunities aimed at giving shoppers even more value for their money, as well as resources to make healthy choices for their families. Bold new signage and visible banners announced the “Compare Our Prices to Anyone” campaign.

H-E-B also announced the launch of "Healthy at H-E-B," a comprehensive, long-term commitment to improve the health of shoppers and provide them with fresh, healthy food that is affordable and easy to prepare. H-E-B is investing an estimated $20 million in lower prices on fresh produce, introducing healthy new meal solutions in the form of a bundle modeled after the USDA’s new My Plate guidelines. Each bundle includes at least four healthy ingredients that can be used to prepare a meal for a family of four for under $10 with a $4 dollar coupon.

But H-E-B is focused on more than healthy eating, the retailer has added four new products to its Orchid line of store brand beauty products: Orchid's Firming Lift Face Serum, Anti-Aging Eye Roller, Acne Spot Treatment and Thermal Clay Mask. So far, all the new Orchid products are reviewed positively by H-E-B’s stable of beauty bloggers.
